June 5 – July 5, San Diego County Fair

Don’t miss beautiful flower and garden shows, exhibits, art, gems and minerals, fun carnival rides, delicious food booths, and fun concerts! This year’s theme will be “A Fair to Remember: a Celebration of World’s Fairs and Balboa Park.” Commemorating the centennial anniversary of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition held in Balboa Park.

June 5 – 6, Rock, Blues & BBQ Festival

Spend a day relaxing in the park listening to the unique sounds of several great bands. Food will be sold at an onsite barbecue. There will also be a beer garden for those 21 and over. Take beach chairs or blankets for lawn seating. Refer to website for admission information.

June 5 – 7, Annual St. Spyridon Church Greek Festival

Treat you and your family to an enjoyable Greek festival, which offers tours of the St. Spyridon Church. There will be plenty of Greek food, music, dancing, wine tasting and beer. There will also be a kids’ fun zone for the little ones!

Challenging hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, tunnel crawl, and final 30-foot mud pit ensures the most fun you can have in a mud run! Competitive and non-competitive 10K & 5K’s plus the Kid’s Mud Run are available to participate in. There will also be a Filthy Fun Fest with live entertainment and activities.

June 8, 7th Annual Taste of La Mesa

June 27, Independence Day Parade

This parade features floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars and so much more! The theme for this year’s parade is “Legends and Legacies.” Viewing of the parade is available from the sidewalks along the entire route. Spectators are encouraged to take folding chairs.

June 27, Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-off 

A beach festival with an amateur chili cook-off contest is something you won’t want to miss! It will be eclectic fun in the sun that is great for all ages.
